Please join us in welcoming Matthew M. Rochefort, MD, as a new faculty member in the Department of Surgery.

 

Matthew M. Rochefort, MD
Associate Surgeon, Division of Thoracic Surgery, Brigham and Women’s Hospital

Dr. Rochefort is a graduate of the University of Miami, in Coral Gables, FL and received his medical degree from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine (UMMSM) in Miami, FL. He completed a residency in General Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in Los Angeles, CA, followed by a residency in Thoracic Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA.

Dr. Rochefort is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery.

His research and clinical interests include: Benign esophageal pathology including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and achalasia, esophageal cancer, lung cancer, minimally invasive surgery, thymoma and thymic carcinoma, robotic surgery, and medical and surgical education.

Erika L. Rangel, MD, MS, of the Division of Trauma, Burn, Surgical and Critical Care  to assistant professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School.

 

Steven Yule, PhD, MSc, of the STRATUS Center for Medical Simulation to associate professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School.
