Cindy Huynh, MD
Associate Surgeon, Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery
Dr. Huynh graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and cell biology and received her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed general surgery training at SUNY Upstate Medical University and a research fellowship at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Huynh received an NRSA institutional postdoctoral training grant (T32) and completed training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Subsequently, she completed a vascular surgery fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco and a research fellowship in the Department of Bioengineering and Therapeutic Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco. She is board certified in general surgery and vascular surgery.
Dr. Huynh’s research interests include characterization and validation of quantitative imaging analysis to improve prediction of patients who will benefit from intervention, as well as development of bioinspired materials with nanoengineered surfaces to promote rapid endothelialization of devices in patients with peripheral arterial disease. Her primary clinical interests are arterial aneurysm, cerebrovascular disease and peripheral arterial disease.
