Nakul Raykar, MD, MPH
Associate Surgeon, Division of Trauma, Burn and Surgical Critical Care
Dr. Raykar graduated from Rutgers University with a BS in ceramic and materials engineering. He received his medical degree from Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School and an MPH from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He completed his general surgery residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a Paul Farmer Global Surgery Fellowship from the Program in Global Surgery and Social Change at Harvard Medical School. Most recently, he completed a trauma/critical care medicine, acute care surgery and global health surgery fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
He is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care. Dr. Raykar’s research interests include access safe blood transfusion, trauma systems development and surgical systems strengthening in low-resource settings.
